Kol would woo Davina as a part of the plan, but he developed genuine feelings for her. Their romance would blossom, however it would end abruptly when Kol was condemned to die after his brother Finn hexed him, he couldn’t even leave his body, becoming trapped. Kol would eventually die leaving Davina devastated. But Davina wouldn’t stop, she would work hard just to resurrect Kol. Eventually she managed to bring back Kol using the Nexus Vorti which was released when the Sireline of Klaus Mikaelson was broken.

Now it seemed like Kol and Davina would stay together forever. However, the Ancestors corrupted Kol when he was brought back, he ended up biting Davina fatally. Davina would die and her soul would get pierced when Freya used her to channel the Ancestors. In Season 4, Davina would make a return when the Hollow resurrected her to make Kol do her bidding. Kol would manage to free Davina using the help of her niece Hope. They both would get married and moved out of the New Orleans.
While not all the love stories in Originals found a happy ending. Most of them ended up in tragedy. The story of Hayley and Elijah is one among them. Both of them fell in love with each other. But circumstances forced Hayley to marry Jackson even though her heart belonged to Elijah. Then the Mikaelsons would fall due to the prophecy, Hayley would bring them all back. It seemed like Elijah and Hayley could be together now, but Hollow ruined it by killing Elijah.
After Hayley witnessed the horrors in the red room of Elijah’s mind, she grew distant. Elijah would then get compelled intentionally to have all his memories erased when the siblings separated. Elijah would reunite with Hayley in France, however since his memories were gone, he didn’t recognize her from the past, yet they both shared a profound connection. Tragedy would happen when Elijah would unintentionally play a major role in the death of Hayley. When he got his memories, he was devastated, remembering what he had done.
