Welcome back to Humor Nation. Sam and Dean Winchester have faced the worst of the worst villains over the course of 15 seasons. While some villains were pretty cool, some turned out to be lame. Some started as allies, but turned foes, some were corrupt to the core, whereas some acted evil for a purpose. Sam and Dean have literally fought every kind of Supernatural Villain, from ghosts, demons to angels and God. While most of them hardly managed to make the Winchesters break a sweats, but there were some who pushed our beloved Winchesters to the limit.
If a villain can make you hate them then it’s a fact that they are doing their job perfectly. But there have been some characters who were disliked because they were downright annoying. Metatron is one such villain, the Scribe of God decided to play God when he got a hold of the celestial tablets and led to the fall of the angels. He managed to do what only a few characters could do in the Supernatural Universe, he killed Dean Winchester. But the character redeemed himself in Season 11 by deciding to sacrifice himself to give the Winchesters a head start to run from the darkness.
In Season 7, Castiel became almighty powerful after absorbing all the souls from the purgatory, but he didn’t realize that he also absorbed the ancient monsters that God created before creating anything else. They were too dangerous that God locked them away. They finally took control of the Castiel and rained chaos. Many consider Leviathans to be the weakest out of all the Supernatural villains. The character of Amara/Darkness had so much potential, but the writers really failed her. She is literally the second most powerful being in the entire Supernatural Universe. She easily managed to defeat God, Winchesters, Lucifer, and Crowley. We really wish we could have seen the full extent of her powers, but her changing motives failed her as a Supernatural villain.
Undoubtedly, the most compelling and the coolest villain on the show was Lucifer. He is responsible for the killing of numerous angels, demons, humans. He played a crucial role in many important important storylines. He literally made Sam’s life a living hell, controlled the Four Horseman, and did numerous evil evil things.
