Welcome back to Humor Nation. Today we are going to be talking about the Mikaelson sibings. Perhaps the most powerful family in the TVD Universe. The Mikaelson Family is a family of the Originals Vampires and witches. The Mikaelson Family has a very complex history through the TVD and its spin-off Originals. The story of the family starts when the mother Esther who was a powerful witch decided to turn her children; Klaus, Elijah, Kol, Finn, Rebekah, and her husband Mikael into Original vampires with the intention of protecting the family from the werewolves who caused the demise of her youngest son Henrik.
Out of all the siblings, the most important character is Klaus Mikaelson. His life story has been the driving force of the plot in the Vampire Diaries universe. He was born due to the affair of Esther with the werewolf Ansel. As Ansel was a werewolf and Esther a witch, this gave Klaus Mikaelson the status of the first nature Hybrid, a mixture of werewolf and witch nature. All the Mikaelson siblings inherited the magical potential from their mother Esther, but they failed to tap into it, and were soon turned into the vampires. Even Klaus himself wasn’t aware of his true status, he became the subject of his father’s prejudice and discrimination who always looked at him as a sign of Esther’s betrayal to him.
When Klaus was turned into an Original Vampire, he lost the ability of practicing or tapping into magic, but he still remained a hybrid due to his werewolf and vampire nature. But Mikael forced Esther to suppress the werewolf nature of Klaus, leaving him only an Original Vampire, no longer a hybrid. After becoming into Original Vampires, the Mikaelsons were deeply feared and became legends among the Supernatural world of vampires, werewolves, and witches. It should be remembered that all the vampires were spawned or originated from the Originals.
When they accidentally learned that their blood can heal others and can turn ordinary humans into vampires, granting them superhuman abilities such as speed, agility, rapid healing, and immortality. The Mikaelsons have traveled across the globe, but they decided to make ‘New Orleans’ as their home. They built the city, but were forced to leave it behind when their father Mikael came hunting them. Eventually the control of New Orleans came to Marcel who was Klaus’ protege and was raised by the Mikaelsons.
The new chapter in the Mikaelson Family saga came with the birth of Hope Mikaelson, daughter of Klaus, who ended up becoming the birth tribrid in the TVD Universe. She inherited the vampire, witch, and werewolf nature from her parents. This daughter provided Klaus with a sense of purpose and he vowed to protect her daughter at all costs. This also resulted in Mikaelson Family coming together under the same roof, living together as an actual family after nearly a century. In protecting Hope, Mikaelsons have battled many powerful foes that includes witches and vampires. Probably no antagonist was as ruthless and undefeatable as the witch Hollow. The family was forced to be apart for the safety of Hope from Hollow. They were fine with staying away from each other for eternity if it meant protecting the life of precious Hope.
