3. SMALLVILLE – JASON TEAGUE
Jensen Ackles was in the front race with Tom Welling for the role of Clark Kent in Smallville. But the role eventually went to Tom. Jensen would be cast in the role of Jason Teague, love interest of Lana whom she meets in Paris in Season 4. Jason follows Lana back to Smallville where he takes up the job of a football coach. It is revealed that Jason has been secretly working with Genevieve to find out the three stones which could create the Fortress of Solitude. The reason behind the inception of Jason’s character is that the Network wanted Lana to have a new love interest, something very different from Clark Kent. Many people believe that it was Jensen’s attachment to SPN Character which forced his character to be written off, but that wasn’t the case. Jason Teague was always meant to be a one season character.
2. THE BOYS – SOLDIER BOY
There was a huge anticipation and hype when it was revealed that Jensen Ackles would be playing the role of Soldier Boy in the third season of the Boys. The actor delivered beyond expectations and now many fans are hoping for a spin-off featuring his character Soldier Boy. Soldier Boy was created through the injection of the Compound V created by Frederick Vought. The story goes like this that Soldier Boy died while saving everyone from the nuclear meltdown. But Maeve sends the Boys in search of a weapon named BCL Red which was responsible for the demise of Soldier Boy. The Boys end up awakening Soldier Boy who seeks revenge from his team members who knocked him out and handed him to the Russians. Soldier Boy is revealed to the biological father of Homelander who tries reconnecting with him, but SB regards Homelander as a disappointment.
1. SUPERNATURAL – DEAN WINCHESTER
It’s a no brainer that perhaps the most iconic and greatest performance of Jensen’s career is Dean Winchester. This show launched him to a different stratosphere. Playing the role of Dean, an elder caring brother, an obedient soldier, who never asked for the hunter’s life. After his dad gone missing, Dean enlists to locate their missing father. This marks the beginning of an epic journey which sees Sam and Dean fighting monsters, demons, angels, darkness, ghosts, and all sorts of Supernatural beings. Jensen Ackles played this role for 15 long years. Even though SPN ended, but the story is not finished yet. Jensen has returned with a SPN prequel series titled ‘The Winchesters’ where he would be reprising his role of Dean Winchester as the narrator of the series.
