It was Dean who served as a father figure to Sam.
So Take A Look At 5 Interesting Facts About Sam & Dean Winchester That You Might Not Know
5. THEIR NAMES
Sam and Dean Winchester were named after the late parents of Mary Campbell. Mary’s parents Deanna and Samuel Campbell were trained hunters who raised her well in the supernatural lifestyle. We saw her in Season 4 when Dean travels back in the past and is invited to the dinner with the Campbells. She tries stopping Samuel who is possessed by Azazel, but before she could use ‘The Colt’ to shoot him, Azazel snaps her neck. An interesting fact is that the character of Deanna is named after the wife of the creator Eric Kripke. We have seen the character of Samuel Campbell in the flashback and also in Season 6 where he was working with Crowley to help resurrect his daughter.
4. THEIR BIGGEST WEAKNESS
It’s an undisputed fact that these brothers are each others’ biggest weakness. Throughout the 15 Seasons, we have seen them doing the most ridiculous things for each other. Their love and strong bond also is their Achilles Heel. For example, when Sam died in Season 2, Dean made a deal with a demon to bring him back and it was his deal that landed him in hell which ultimately broke the first seal of Lucifer, and set various events in motion. Similarly, when Dean became a demon, Sam fought to restore his humanity, and then worked with Rowena to remove the mark of Cain which unleashed the darkness in the world.
