John and Mary are the parents of Sam and Dean. It was their love story which set the events of the show Supernatural in motion. John became a hunter to avenge the loss of her love and also raised his kids into the hunting profession. Interestingly, John was involved in romantic relationships after the passing of Mary. John had a kid named Adam with Kate Milligan who was a nurse who treated John after he got injured on a hunt. Both Adam and Kate eventually met a tragic fate due to the Supernatural. John also had a brief romantic weekend spent with the hunter Tara when they together captured a demon who would present them with the information about Knights of Hell. Surprisingly, Mary Winchester also had a short relationship with BMOL Arthur Ketch after she was resurrected and Joined BMOL.
4. DEAN AND LISA
Unlike Sam, Dean hasn’t been involved in many relationships over the course of Supernatural. Most of the Dean Winchester’s relationships have been more like flings. But Dean’s relationship with Lisa is a prominent and important relationship. Dean genuinely cared for Lisa and they lived together like a family for some time where Dean took care of her and Ben. Although Dean has been with numerous women, but he shared an emotional and loving connection with Lisa Braeden. Lisa was Dean’s chance at living a normal life. As Kripke’s original vision for Supernatural involved the show ending with Swan Song where Dean would settle down with Lisa and Ben while we get a glimpse of Sam Winchester who observes them from a distance. It is very likely that Dean would have kept enjoying his normal life and wouldn’t have returned back to hunting if Season 6 never happened.
