Welcome back to Humor Nation. The final season of the Originals is set seven years after the events of Season 4. The Mikaelson siblings have absorbed a part of the dark spirit of the Hollow and they are far apart from each other to keep the evil in check. Hope Mikaelson is now a teenager, she studies at the famous Salvatore Boarding School for the Young & Gifted, located in the Mystic Falls. The Mikaelsons try to reunite with each other, but it brings dire consequences. Season 5 Episode ‘The Tale of Two Wolves’ in a way also served as the backdoor pilot for the new spin-off Legacies.
With the episode introducing various new characters whom we’d later see in the Legacies which takes place 2 years after the events of Originals. The second TVD spin-off revolves around the teenager Hope Mikaelson who studies at the Salvatore School along with several Supernaturally gifted students who must learn to control their powers and fight for a noble cause. Several significant characters from the Originals have made special guest appearances on the spin-off. While the actor Joseph Morgan has made it clear that he’d never appear on the spin-off, but there are plenty of other actors who possible could show up on the show.

5. AURORA DE MARTEL
Aurora de Martel was last seen lying unconscious in Originals Season 3 Episode ‘Give ‘Em Hell Kid’. But when the viewers heard a mysterious voice in the Legacies S4E7, Hope warns the triad lady that she is going to find out who she is. Many fans speculated that it’s none other than Aurora who is back with a Vendetta. Finally, in Legacies Season 4 Episode ‘You Will Remember Me’, Aurora shows up. Aurora informs Hope about everything she knows about Klaus, she introduces herself as the first sired vampire of Rebekah’s bloodline. It was the people of Triad who rescued Aurora and nobody noticed.
Aurora takes out the Papa Tunde’s blade which puts its victim in extreme agony. She tries attacking with a second blade, but Hope being quick enough easily snaps the neck of Aurora. Aurora intentionally enrages Hope by telling how the blade made her father Klaus suffer. Hope being reckless uses the blade on Aurora, but quickly the blade turns out to be a Trident. Aurora explains to Hope that she used Agatha’s magic to cloak the Trident and present it as Papa Tunde’s blade. Both Aurora and Hope have switches bodies now. Even though Hope manages to get her body back and beats Aurora in her game. Lizzie shared an empathetic connection with Aurora after learning about her brother loss. Lizzie ends up saving her life and offers her a chance to return back to a time when Tristan was alive.

4. REBEKAH MIKAELSON
Rebekah Mikaelson is a titular character of the Originals. Even though she was mainly a recurring character in Originals Season 3-5. Throughout her long life as a vampire, she always craved normalcy and sought love, but continuously ended up being betrayed and left out. She has always been in love with Marcel Gerard, but her brother Klaus kept them separated. At one point, they both planned to get Klaus out of their way by calling Mikael on him. Rebekah is reunited with her siblings in the final season. Klaus decides to make a major sacrifice to destroy Hollow permanently. He arranges cure for Rebekah so she could live her life as a human. She proposes to Marcel who accepts and they together begin their new life.
Rebekah made her Legacies debut in Season 4 Episode 5. She ends up tracking her niece Hope who has shut down her humanity and has become a threat for not only her, but also for the people around her. Rebekah apologizes to Hope for not being there for her, but Hope asks her to shut off the Mikaelson lecture. Hope believes that having her humanity turned off is the best thing that has happened to her. Rebekah offers her help to Hope, even going to the extent of giving up the cure to Hope. She takes out a White Oak Ash Dagger and stabs Hope with it. However, Hope being a tribrid is invulnerable to the dagger. Hope calls out Rebekah on the family thing saying what good it is, if they all stab each other in the back. Hope says that her father is dead due to the family love. She gives back the necklace to Rebekah, takes her car, leaving behind Rebekah.

3. FREYA MIKAELSON
Freya made her first appearance in Season 2 of the Originals, the long lost sister of the Mikaelson siblings who was taken as a payment by the powerful witch Dahlia. She made her Legacies debut in Season 2 Episode 6 Josie meets Freya and seeks her help in reverse engineering a spell. Freya advises her to seek the help of her School teachers, but Josie says that it is dark magic angers Freya. Josie tells Freya that she has forgotten someone, a special person whose pictures are present in Freya’s room. She uses magic on Freya to return her memories. Freya arrives at the end of the episode and embraces with Hope.
Freya made her second appearance in Season 4 Episode 3, reuniting with Hope. Hope has to become the tribrid before anyone else gets hurt. She has to sacrifice herself in order to transform into a tribird. While some people are concerned, fearing if Hope is ready to become the most powerful being in the world. Hope also fears that becoming a vampire would bring all the aspects of her father, the bad and the ugly. She fears that she would lose all the good in her. But Freya reminds her that she won’t lose all the good that she acquired from both her parents. Freya assures Hope that everything will be alright and then casts the spell.
2. MARCEL GERARD & KOL MIKAELSON
Legacies Season 4 Finale Episode is titled ‘Everything That Can Be Lost May Also Be Found’. This episode is the ultimate reunion episode for the Originals characters. An episode that the fans of the Originals have been waiting for so long. This episode hasn’t aired yet, the Season 4 finale episode will air on April 14, 2022. Both the actors Nathaniel Buzolic and Charles Michael Davis will reprise their respective roles of Kol Mikaelson and Marcel Gerard on Legacies. It would be the first time these actors will be seen reprising the roles since Originals finale ‘When The Saints Go Marching In’. The Originals finale which saw Kol Mikaelson returning to be together with his family as his elder brother marches towards his death. The Mikaelsons feast together and celebrate one last time together. Whereas Marcel can be seen instructing the vampires to leave the city of New Orleans, giving it back to the humans, and he accepts Rebekah’s proposal.
This episode will see Hope Mikaelson struggling in confusion and tries fighting her humanity, during which she sees the people who mean the world to her. The episode will feature the characters of Rebekah and Freya as well. Even though Legacies is a spin-off of the Originals, but the main focus has always been Hope Mikaelson who becomes the first tribrid. Apart from a few cameos, mentions, and references, we haven’t seen much of the Originals on the show. It is likely that Marcel and Kol would appear in a form of hallucination/dream like sequence, but still a reunion would mean a lot.
1. ROMAN SIENNA & LANDON KIRBY
Roman and Hope were classmates and loved each other. But in reality, Roman was doing the task of wooing Hope as a part of her mother’s plan to cleanse the impure hybrids. Roman played a part in the demise of Hayley which strained her relationship with Hope. He asked Klaus to end him who let Hope decide the fate of Roman. Hope ultimately forgave Roman and blamed herself for the fate of Hayley. Roman Sienna returned in Legacies Season 1 Episode ‘Let’s Just Finish The Dance’ who is surprised to know Alaric isn’t mad at him for his role in Hayley’s death. Hope convinces Landon that Roman is trying to turn his life around, but Landon suspects him of being behind the statue turning mystery. Roman substitutes for Landon where he tells Hope that the dress she is wearing was bought by Klaus for Caroline.
While Landon Kirby was always meant to be a main character of the Legacies and this is why he was introduced in the backdoor pilot on the Originals. We first saw him in Season 5 where he interacts with Elijah & Hope at the Mystic Grill, serving them their orders. Hope and him share a dance before they head back to their school, courtesy of Elijah.
