Who can forget the iconic rule of Julian Richings as death who first appeared in the Season 5 as one of the four horsemen of apocalypse. Since then he has made several cameos and guest appearances in the show. The Grim Reaper who shares a liking for the junk food and terrified Dean surely made a long lasting impression. But surprisingly, he was killed off in Season 10, and a new Grim Reaper became the death. Julian actually took up the role of Benjamin Kertland in the famous Orphan Black. He felt it would be the perfect time to bid goodbye to Supernatural. Julian would go on to appear in the TV shows such as Patriot, 12 Monkeys, and Doom Patrol.

Katie Cassidy made her Supernatural debut in Season 3 when she appeared as the demon Ruby who knows a whole lot about the underworld and desires to help the Winchester. She appeared in six episodes of Season 3, but would be replaced by the actress Genevieve in Season 4. The actress loved playing the demon on the show. She revealed in an interview that she was having the time of her life, she enjoyed the cast, crew, and especially the boys. But there are different explanations for her departure. If you believe the creator Eric Kripke who stated that it was the budgetary constraints which forced them to release Katie. But the actress revealed that it was the uncertainty of the studio regarding her character’s direction which prompted the decision. She was offered a role on Harper’s Island, Katie took the opportunity, and asked the Warner Bros to let her go.
