Usually, the hunters organization consist of families who have passed down the knowledge of the supernatural to the new generations. These hunters live by their set of code and there is an actual order within their group. The families pass down the knowledge of the supernatural and train their children with the hunting skills. This learning starts in their childhood, however, sometimes the training starts when the child becomes a teenager, crosses the age of 16. In case of Allison Argent, her training session began when she became a teenager. There are several training sessions that one has to go through to prove their worth. A popular task involves tying up the person to a chair and handing him a small piece of blade to free from the bondage.

The hunters employ a variety of weapons in their hunt of the supernatural creatures. The weapons are such that it could match the speed and strength of the creatures. Allison who fell in love with Scott McCall who is a werewolf while she was a hunter trainee. She got to know about her family’s heritage from her aunt and decided to learn more. She became a part of the McCall pack and together they fought all sorts of the enemies. And she would also help the gang in freeing Stiles from Nogitsune. Allison would eventually die at the hands of an Oni.
