Welcome back to Humor Nation. In Riverdale Season 5, we learned more about the Blossoms, we were introduced to the character of Abigail Blossom through the flashbacks. She was a Blossom ancestor who was accused of the witchcraft by the residents of the town and they burned her at the stake unfairly. The ancestors of Archie, Betty, and Jughead did it in order to steal the Palladium that was stored beneath in the mines. Abigail Blossom used to run a school for the girls from her Thornhill Mansion. This was during a time when Riverdale was filled with people who had a narrow mindset, they were backwards. The people of the town made fun of her, looked down on her as she had no husband, they even troubled the girls who were studying in her care.

The residents were well aware that the mines located under the Maple Groves of the Blossoms are full of Palladium, they tried buying, but Abigail refused to sell. The town devised a plan to steal the palladium, they marched down to her mansion at midnight, holding torches and pitchforks, they dragged her out of her house. They falsely accused her of practicing the witchcraft, without even listening to her word, they tied her to the grove and burned her alive. Abigail Blossom while dying cursed those who wronged her, she told them that they would suffer a tragic fate. After the death of Abigail, the residents of town took control over the mines and went inside looking for palladium, but Abigail’s curse came into power when the mine was collapsed and it killed an entire generation of Riverdale’s residents.
In the present day, Cheryl came to know about the tragic fate of her ancestor, she vowed to get justice for Abigail. She went to Archie, Betty, and Jughead, demanding they publicly make an apology for the actions of their ancestors and seek penance. But they didn’t do it. Cheryl Blossom would decide to turn the Thornhill Mansion a school for the lost girls similar to her ancestor. She would also recite the curse that Abigail gave with her last dying breathe, after reciting it, a strong wind pushes the door of the Thornhill open, and Cheryl is shocked. Both the personalities of Cheryl and Abigail are entirely different.
