Welcome back to Humor Nation. In Season 5, we are introduced to a new character who serves as the main villain of the season. This character has a familiar face, he’s the twin brother of our beloved devil Lucifer, he is the archangel Michael. The finale of Season 4 saw Lucifer making a sacrifice by choosing to return to Hell rather than staying with Chloe on earth. This action of Lucifer earned plenty of praise from his siblings in heaven. This praise and love made Michael jealous who always tried to be better than Lucifer. He therefore decided to ruin Lucifer’s life and he arrived on Earth.

After his arrival, he pretended to be Lucifer in order to execute his master scheme which is to separate every person that Lucifer cares about from his life. Amenadiel who came to know about the arrival of their cunning brother rushed to hell to inform Lucifer. Lucy returned to earth to make things right before the damage and chaos caused by Michael becomes permanent. The two meet each other in third episode “¡Diablo!” where they get into a fight and Lucifer gets the better of his brother and leaves him with a scar. Michael fled from the penthouse, but his hatred for Lucifer only became stronger since this encounter. He tricks Dan in seeing the true devil face of the Lucifer and thus becoming aware of his real identity.
He manipulates Maze and convinces her to join with him in his grand plan. In exchange, he’ll provide the demon Mazikeen with a soul. Michael also kidnaps Chloe, but luckily she is rescued by Lucifer with the help of Maze, Ella, and Dan.
