Apart from being an actor, it was Supernatural that helped Jensen Ackles in trying his hands at being a director. He made his directorial debut with the Season 6 episode ‘Weekend At Bobby’s’ and would go on to direct several episodes of the show. Supernatural granted him the amazing opportunity to develop a spin-off, he would become the executive producer of ‘The Winchesters’ which got cancelled after its first season.
Dean Winchester appeared in the pilot episode where he sought the help of his brother Sam in locating their missing father. Dean is the older protective brother who is known for having exterior tough appearances while having a strong liking for classic cars and classic rock music. He loves his 1967 Chevrolet Impala which he received from his father. He was raised into the hunter’s life ever since he was a kid by his father John who was hell-bent on avenging his lost love.
Despite his rugged exterior, Dean Winchester carries deep emotional scars as a result of his tough childhood which was filled with loss and challenges. He is fiercely loyal and doesn’t mind putting himself in harm’s way to protect his loved ones. He is well aware with the knowledge of the lore and occult while also being skilled at combat, all this makes him a formidable hunter, but not everything is black and white for him. Dean struggles with inner conflicts which often leads him to take questionable decisions. Dean Winchester uses humor as a coping mechanism to not address his inner emotional issues.
