The actress Alona Tal revealed how her character Jo Harvelle almost became the half-sibling of Dean. When she first spoke to Eric Kripke, she was told that there’s a possibility that she could turn out to be the little sister of Dean. Actually, Eric Kripke was confused about writing Jo as whether a love interest or a half-sister. Kripke and the writers team were going back and forth between the love interest for Dean and learning that she’s his half-sister. But this was around 2006-2008, it was around a time when WB Network wouldn’t have entertained the idea that a love interest turning out to be a half-sister. Eventually many felt that Jo wasn’t the right character to be Dean’s love interest.
