Despite his outward facade of a playful and a carefree character, deep down he has experienced great pain due to the fight between his archangel brothers and how their father never cared about what’s happening on earth and in heaven. What makes the portrayal of angels in Supernatural unique is how the show challenges the typical religious interpretations of the angels where they are morally right and incorruptible, but the angels in Supernatural are complex beings who struggle with morality and desires.
