Welcome back to Humor Nation. While Sam and Dean Winchester are the central focus of the show. Supernatural also featured numerous female characters who played a pivotal role in the storylines. Season 3 of the show featured Katie Cassidy playing the role of the demon Ruby who posed as an ally to the Winchesters, but she was actually manipulating Sam in order to break the seal that would free Lucifer. But season 4 saw Genevieve Padalecki playing the role of the demon who portrayed the character quite differently.

Season 1 introduced us to the character of Meg Masters, a sly and pretty clever demon who crosses path with Sam Winchester. She was working along with Azazel in order to free Lucifer whom he sees as a father. After the departure of Lucifer back to hell and the subsequent take over by Crowley, becoming the new King of Hell. Meg found her goals aligning temporarily with the Winchester. This brought a new dynamic to her character and she assisted the Winchesters in their battle against Crowley and Leviathans. Meg would nurse Castiel until he become mentally fit again to assist the Winchesters. Her interactions with Castiel added a romantic element to her character, making her likeable, and the fans shipping for the angel and demon couple.
Jo and Ellen are two beloved female hunters who first appeared in Season 2 Episode 2. Jo is the daughter of Ellen, Jo’s father and Ellen’s husband, Bill Harvelle, was a friend of John Winchester and they both hunted together. Coming from a family of hunters, it was their family business too. Ellen ran a bar called ‘Roadhouse’ which served the hunters where they would hang out. Azazel’s minions destroyed Road House which resulted in the demise of Ash. Later, we see Ash residing there in heaven and it can also be seen in the final episode in the background.
Jody Mills first appeared in Season 5 as the Sheriff of Sioux Falls who was well familiar with Bobby Singer and she arrested Sam and Dean Winchester, but would later on team with the boys to stop the zombie attack in her town. The character of Jody Mills along with Claire, Alex, Patience, and Donna were part of a SPN spin-off titled Wayward Winchesters. The backdoor pilot of the spin-off aired in Season 13 Episode 10. The fans tried their best to make CW Network reconsider their decision by launching a campaign, but the Network President made it clear that Wayward Winchesters isn’t creatively aligned with the directin of the network. CW chose Legacies, a spin-off of the Vampire Diaries & Originals over it.
