10. Marcel’s Death
Whether you are a fan of Marcel or not, but seeing him go like that was truly devastating. Especially when this happened after the death of Davina. What’s more shocking is that no one expected Elijah to be the one who would Marcel. It all happened in a quick moment. Elijah ripped out the heart of Marcel and a senseless Marcel fell off the bridge and into the water. We could Klaus screaming in the background which showed how much affected he was at what happened.
9. Death of Mikael
Season 2 of the Originals saw the return of the the dangerous Mikael and the powerful witch Dahlia who wrecked havoc. Klaus and his siblings have been on the run from their Mikael for a long time. They even tried killing Mikael on several occasions, but failed. With the arrival of the powerful witch Dahlia, Klaus and Mikael were forced to work together to rescue Freya. In those moments, it looked like a truce between the father and the son is possible after all. But we were shocked when Klaus killed Mikael suddenly. Klaus needed viking ash to create a new weapon to neutralize Dahlia. But the reason why it was so unexpected is because Mikael just reunited with his long lost daughter Freya and everyone expected to see more of their moments together.

8. Return of Freya
For many years, we were led to believe that there were only five Mikaelsons as Henrik and Freya had died. But with the coming of Freya, the viewers were left all shocked as well as pretty excited to see another Mikaelson. Freya saves Rebekah from the Kindred and uses her magic to break the spell which was sealing them in the cottage. Seeing Freya use her magic just showed us how badass she is.
7. Dahlia Arrives
For many episodes, the viewers were told the stories of Dahlia. We were told how much of a powerful witch she truly is. And the moment we finally got to see her on the show was truly one of the best moments. Her entrance was really interesting. Controlling the minds of the people and making them do whatever she wants. That proved that the Originals were up against one of the most powerful villains they have ever encountered in their lifetime. A villain which could kill them with her fingertips. Dahlia even scared Klaus which showed how dangerous she really was.
