So Take A Look At 5 Mistakes In Vampire Diaries That Every Fan Missed
5. MYSTIC FALLS
The Vampire Diaries takes place in the town of Mystic Falls, a town which is the hub of all sorts of supernatural events. A place which attracts Vampires, witches, and werewolves, while most of the humans remain uninformed about their existence. There is a sign in the cemetery of Mystic Falls which says that the town was established in 1792. We learn in the later episodes that the town was built in 1860s, the same can be seen in the welcome sign. Whereas in the later seasons, we learn that Mystic Falls have existed even before 1792. We learn that a weapon and Sybil arrived in the Armory in the year 1790 from a town named Mystic Falls.
4. DOPPELGANGER PROPHECY
The doppelgangers were created by the nature to counter the immortal nature of Silas and Amara, doppelgangers existence manages the balance. They have existed as long as Silas and Amara existed and died in their place. Markos, the leader of the Travelers states that he is responsible for the doppelganger prophecy meaning the doppelgangers born throughout the centuries finding their way to one another, becoming attracted to each other. He cast the spell on the two doppelgangers lines to bring them together in order to break the curse on their people.
But according to Qetsiyah, the great witch who is responsible for creating immortals and hence the doppelgangers in the first place. She has witnessed the doppelgangers come together for over 2000 years (and note that 500 of the years was before Markos). So it’s pretty unlikely that she got it wrong. And if the prophecy is true that Salvatore doppelganger who was born in 20th Century was meant to find Elena, if she had not crossed paths with Stefan. This means Stefan Salvatore was never meant to find Katherine or Elena, they were not supposed to love each other. But transforming into a vampire changed everything.
